The Cowboys will have their hands full with a young, physically Detroit defense when the teams meet Sunday in Big D.
Last November, when they played, the Lions beat on QB Jon Kitna and held the Cowboys to 265 yards of occurrence. The Cowboys won in the large part to a fluke play: Brian McCann took part that the Lions were tipping back into the field of play and came back it 97 yards for a TD. With RB Felix Jones and WR Miles Austin (among others) ailing, Dallas was suffering likely struggle to take advantage of Detroit’s suspect secondary. Thereafter with a horrendous group of corner backs of its own, Dallas were also struggle against the Lions’ resurgent passing game. Not only have the Lions won eight straight games dating back to last session, but also they have 14-3-2 ATS (82.4%) since the started in the year of 2010. The pick here for DETROIT to remain unbeaten in the season.
The Fox Sheets provided this three-star trend supporting the best Lions.
DETROIT is 12-2 ATS 85.7%, +9.8 Units in all over the games where the total are between 42.5 and 49 points in the last 2 (two) session. The average score were DETROIT 23.3, OPPONENT Dallas 19.3 - Rating = 3*.
Last Sunday, Detroit was pulled off a stellar comeback in Minnesota, as the team erased a 20-0 halftime deficit and prevailed in full time. This marked the franchise’s largest second-half returned back. The Lions are now 3-0 for the first time from 1980. QB Matthew Stafford was off to a flying start in the aforesaid year. He threw 378 yards in the victory over the Vikings, giving him 977 yards, 9 TD and just 2 INT in three the games in this session. WR Calvin Johnson has six of them who TD grabs, with two coming in each game. Detroit’s has been weak in the game to running in this session, with just 235 yards on 84 careers (2.8 YPC). Top RB Jahvid was suffered a bruised thigh last Sunday, but he should able to start to play against Dallas.
Tony Romo of Dallas QB was not great in Monday’s 18-16 field-goal fest win upon Washington, but tried to led his team to victory. Romo was questionable, because of cracked ribs and a punctured lung, finished 22-of-36 for 255 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT. He did give a good job of spreading the wealth, as five receivers caught at least three passes and nobody had more than Dez Bryant’s 63 yards. But K Dan Bailey, had 18 points in this sessions of their team’s, Felix Jones was the offensive star for Dallas with 115 rushing yards of 8.2 yards per carry and three catches for 40 more yards. Jones, who has been playing a separated shoulder, appeared to have re-injured on his shoulder on Monday night. His status was questionable for the catchup with Detroit. CB Mike Jenkins also re-injured on his shoulder on Monday, but were able to return to play the game. CB Terence Newman looked what happen to a concussion in the fourth quarter of the Redskins game, and his status was uncertain for Sunday. DE Jason Hatcher (strained calf) was questionable.
